I have studied studio art and art history, both eastern and western, since young adulthood. My artwork describes and records my own personal experience and emotional response to the wonder and mystery of the life that surrounds all of us. I experiment with different techniques and combinations of the mediums, drawing painting and printmaking on paper and canvas. Working in layers of color and forms I blend together a record of humanistic history and the idea that a spiritual energy surrounds us into magical expressionistic landscapes. I would like for my work to capture a visual drama and dimension and want my viewers to feel what I intended, while at the same time come to their own conclusion and personal interpretation of each piece of artwork.
